It’s been a long long January hibernating away, but a productive one at that. The lounge has been invaded with paints and crayons and a temporary desk established as close to the fire as safely possible. Just add the month free trail to Net Flix plus plenty of left over Christmas treats, and the creative process is complete.

So after keeping a beady eye on the Liberty Website I noticed some of their fabrics from the Artists within Music Collection are now reduced. One of favourites is this print by Storm Thorgerson, famously known for designing the album cover of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Available in four colourways and now priced at £14.70, the temptation to get sewing stikes! I just can’t decide if I want a wallhanging, cushions or the ultimate seventies maxi dress…
The collection is also composed of archive prints selected by Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, Blur Guitarist Graham Coxon and Emilia De Poret. Alongside sketches from Edwyn Collins that have been transformed into print.

This designer caught my eye when I was looking on Walnut Wallpaper this week. Eskayel is an artist and designer whose work ranges from contract wallpapers, fabrics, soft furnishings and stationary. Her style is distinctive, highly expressive and ethereal through the use of abstract watercolours and sensitive sketch techniques.

The past few months have flown by, but in all the best ways possible. We’ve had a fantastic wedding and three week honeymoon in Sri Lanka, and are now settling ourselves nicely in to married life as Mr. & Mrs. Wilde.
It’s been three hours, four bin bags of rubbish and a mighty hoover, finally the workroom is actually feeling workable. Time to get on with some work. Crayons out!
It seems a bit of a random time to get this started, 14 weeks until getting married and I can’t squeeze enough hours into the day. Though sitting down, finding some focus and generally drinking tea has a rather good calming influence.
So here is my blog, it’s only little and just finding it’s way, possibly at times struggling with basic sentences and almost always easily distracted. Anyway it’s good to share these things, hopefully you’ll enjoy the musings.
Woke up this week to find we’re surrounded by fields of blue, these pretty flowers were everywhere!
